Sandy Kohl

Sandy Kohl joined Service Group in 1983 as a member of the Service Lloyds underwriting team. After three short years of repeated success and uncompromised results, Sandy was promoted to the position of underwriting supervisor for the workers' compensation underwriting program.

Sandy continued to excel in her efforts with workers' compensation, and in mid-1995, some 12 years into her notable career at Service Lloyds, she was promoted to Vice President of Underwriting. Sandy oversees all aspects of underwriting for the Service Lloyds workers' compensation program and manages a dynamic team of underwriting personnel. Her 20+ years of experience with Service Group have given her a unique understanding of the complicated issues involved in writing workers' compensation for the Texas market.

In addition to directing the underwriting program, Sandy also served as Corporate Secretary for Service Lloyds and Heartland Lloyds Insurance Companies. Her long history with the company has made her a valuable source of information and insight at official officer and director meetings. Sandy is now Senior VP of Underwriting for Service Lloyds and Service Life. As a member of the management team, she continues to manage the underwriting department, as well as oversees the Loss Control efforts of Service Lloyds.

Sandy lives and works in Austin. She has been blessed with three lovely children, Ken, Cindy, and Harold, whom she mentions seldom in comparison to her grandsons, Alex and Hayden.
